Local Data
The only person you can trust with your data is you. Local is the only way to build real, evolving context.
All your accounts. One history. Smarter every session.
Stop re-explaining yourself.
But your chat forgot you mid-thread.
For founders and builders drowning in AI slop —
including their own.
The big labs are optimizing for coding benchmarks and enterprise sales. Nobody is building the obvious thing: an AI that just knows you.
I wanted it, so I built it. Turns out making AI truly smart about you is easy — the data is already on your machine. The real unlock is being both local and open source, two things the big labs and hyperscalers cannot do.
From one robot to another — I hope it's useful.

The only person you can trust with your data is you. Local is the only way to build real, evolving context.
The code is public — read it, audit it, fork it, make it yours. Documented to teach, so you learn by building.
A few clicks to start, then it runs in the background as you live. It compounds: every day sharpens the next answer.
Your data, your preferences, your model — all yours to keep and yours to move, on your terms, at any time.
Build to teach through use. Understand AI from the inside out, then go build your own on top of it.
Three depths of work — pick the one that fits the moment.
Just talk. Every answer is grounded in your real history, voice, and context — the fastest way to think out loud with an AI that knows you.
Spin up a workbench when chat isn't enough. Run real research, data analysis, and database creation on your own context; ship lite apps as visualizations (Health is the first one). The workbench is yours, on your machine.
Build deep, complex apps on top of your chat data and workbenches. Coding agents drive the same agent personas and skills that built Robot Dojo itself — the proof the machinery works. Skills make coding agents easy to use.
Centralizes your models, chats, and context by topic. Shape memory, preferences, and topics through chat — connect accounts in one click.

People, companies, and places are added from your history, seamlessly, with no effort on your part. You just talk; the world organizes itself.

One command on your Mac. Robot Dojo installs locally, starts up, and opens your setup flow in the browser when it's ready.
Click to connect your accounts, or drop in files from any app. One secure approval each, add more any time.
Every conversation builds on the last. Your AI sharpens with every use — and you own every byte.

Robot Dojo is built for founders, builders, and entrepreneurs drowning in AI slop who want an assistant that already knows them. The private beta is a small, smart cohort: install on a Mac, connect or import real data, and get a chat experience that feels more personally useful than a stock foundation model — no founder hand-holding required.
Robot Dojo is a local-first personal AI that actually knows you. It runs on your Mac, unifies your email, calendar, contacts, and messages into one living memory, and grounds every answer in your real history, voice, and context. Install it, connect your accounts, and get an AI that feels personally useful from the first session — instead of a blank assistant you have to re-explain yourself to every time.
Similar arc, different audience. GBrain is a developer's tool — a knowledge graph you or an agent fills by writing markdown pages. Robot Dojo is for non-technical people who want to get more out of AI and go deeper into understanding and building through use: more productized, less configuration. It extracts signal from the data you already have — email, iMessage, calendar, transcripts, contacts — so you don't write pages; Robot Dojo reads what you already did.
One command on your Mac: curl -fsSL https://robotdojo.ai/install.sh | bash. Or open the Install modal for the same command. Robot Dojo installs locally, starts up, and opens setup in your browser. No API key required — chat runs on a local model selected for your machine and retrieval runs free on a bundled on-device embedding model. After install, connect Google (Gmail, Calendar, Contacts) with one OAuth click, or grant Full Disk Access to pull in your local Apple data (iMessage, Contacts, Calendar, Notes, and more). A cloud model key is an optional upgrade, never a setup step.
No — Robot Dojo runs fine on your regular Mac or laptop. A Mac mini is the better host because it stays on whether or not your laptop is open — so you can reach Robot Dojo from another computer or your phone, which is the main value. 16GB of RAM is sufficient on any modern Mac. You can move to a dedicated machine any time.
No. Your data stays on your machine — always. Robot Dojo runs locally, stores everything on your own hardware, and the Robot Dojo servers never store your private data. robotdojo.ai provides an encrypted, zero-knowledge relay tunnel so you can reach your local instance from another computer or your phone without exposing localhost or running a VPN; the relay is end-to-end encrypted and Robot Dojo cannot read data passing through it. It is not cloud storage. Remote access via the relay is a paid Black Belt feature. Models only ever see the specific slice of context needed to answer a question; the raw records stay yours.
Yes — White Belt is MIT, open source. The code is public so you can see it, audit it, fork it, and use it yourself. Black Belt is source-available: the code is also public so you can audit it, but it runs on a subscription — while your subscription is active, the premium engines and the relay (remote access) are unlocked. Across both tiers, your data stays yours, local-first.
Connect Google with one OAuth click for Gmail, Calendar, and Contacts. Grant Full Disk Access and Robot Dojo reads your local Apple data — iMessage, Contacts, Calendar, Photos metadata, Call history, Notes, and Mail. Import a Google Takeout archive by dropping it into your inbox folder, plus foundation-model chat exports where available. Any source with no data on a given machine lights up automatically once multi-machine sync ships. (Microsoft is hidden for the friends-and-family beta.)
Collaborate with an AI that knows you.
