The short version
Your private Robot Dojo data is local-first: it lives on your Mac, not on a Robot Dojo server. The installed local app does not send private data or telemetry to Robot Dojo unless you explicitly submit an error report or feedback item. If you choose backup, copies go only to a cloud server you own, control, and pay for.
What Robot Dojo processes
Robot Dojo imports data from sources you connect or files you add: email, calendar, contacts, messages, documents, and Apple Health exports where enabled. Everything is stored locally on your Mac. There is no Robot Dojo cloud database for your private data.
The relay
robotdojo.ai provides an encrypted, zero-knowledge relay tunnel so you can reach your local instance from another computer or your phone without exposing localhost or running a VPN. Traffic through the relay is end-to-end encrypted; Robot Dojo cannot read data passing through it, and the relay never stores your private data. Remote access via the relay is a paid Black Belt feature.
What we collect
If you request access, we collect your email to respond. The public website may use basic analytics to understand site traffic. The installed local app does not send private telemetry to Robot Dojo.
Local login uses a token stored in macOS Keychain. Robot Dojo does not use email login codes for the local app.
Error reports and feedback
Bottom-right error reports are diagnostics. The app explains what is being sent, scrubs PII and secrets, and never sends raw local files, API keys, tokens, or private data dumps. Product feedback is a regular form. In chat, @miyagi is local product help; @feedback explicitly sends scrubbed feedback to the Robot Dojo task queue.
AI providers
Robot Dojo installs a local model baseline. If you add third-party model providers, the app may send the specific prompt context needed to answer your message to that provider. Provider keys are stored in Keychain and are never revealed back through the app.
Local ownership and deletion
Robot Dojo is local and folder-based. Delete the product folder to remove the app. Local data and Keychain credentials are separate; full wipe instructions list the data folder and Keychain items to remove. Robot Dojo has no server-side copy of your private data.
Google API Services
Robot Dojo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
